Libby Alexandra Croome died 28th November 2007 aged 4.
Libby was much loved and wanted daughter to Lynda and Philip and beloved and cherished sister to Milly.
Libby attended Abbeygates Primary School and loved taking part in classroom activities and playground antics.
Libby was diagnosed at the age of 2 with Cerebral Palsy which at the age of 3 was changed to Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II and then at 4 to Hereditary Motor Sensory Neuropothy Type V. Libby learnt to walk by 18 months old but by the age of 3 was in a wheelchair and by 4 was completely dependent on help for her general care. However disabled Libby became she kept her sense of humour, character and high level intelligence - having a unique ability to make people laugh. Libby was first admitted to hospital just before her 4th birthday and over the following year was admitted 7 times. Libby underwent several operations to improve her standard of living and abilities. In November 2007 Libby was admitted to hospital again and eventually the tests identified that she had a cold. Because of the dibilitating disability that caused her muscles to weaken she became unable to breath for herself and was placed on life support on 21st November. One week later on the 28th November Libby told me, her mummy, that she had had enough. Libby closed her eyes and took her last breath at 4pm cradled in my arms with her daddy holding her hand and her sister sat next to her. All the people who loved her the most, her grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, childminder, teachers and friends were all in the room and were able to say goodbye to her.
Libby has left a massive void in our lives and we will never be complete without her. Libby never suffered with her disability and was never in any pain she struggled with being able to do certain things, but she kept smiling and laughing.
Libby now plays with her 4 sisters who we never got to know and we miss her laughter and smile every single day.

A loss so hard
Words cannot describe how hard each and every second of the day are without you, the sadness of you not being here, but the joy of the time we spent with you.
You will always be our first and last thought of every day and our memories of you will never ever be forgotten.
Dance with the angels like you have never danced before, show them the 'Libster Lip' for them to laugh as much as we did.
We all love and miss you so much words cannot explain.

Angel of Life
You were the first child in our life who stole our hearts. It was the hardest thing letting you go, we knew it was for the best, for you Libby. There is a huge void when you dont come round to play or even say something cheeky when mummy calls to speak to me on the phone. In your own way Libby Croome i know you have already found ways of sending us your cheeky messages. Its hard to say what really is hurting, it can never mend. Time is a healer . Track number 13 on my Christmas CD was Jingle Bells, it was as if you picked it. The day you were born I got engaged to Darren ( for the 2nd Time) In our eyes you were an Angel sent from God to show how to Love eachother no matter what. May you rest in Peace Dear loved child....see you in my dreams xx
Miss you lots darling. Hope your making lots of mess with all the other Angels. Baking cakes and painting with your hands and feet. Lots of love nanna
